As
all know our general supplier for aquarium fish LiveAquaria.com and Drs.
Foster & Smith (same company) ended their online sales business, due to
state online sales tax issues. Thus links on fish for sale
no longer work as 02/22/10.
We are changing our tropical fish
suppliers now to "Aquarium-Club MEMBERS ONLY", so please stop back,
because we will have more tank raised fish shortly,
15 years of selling tropical fish online and
safely shipping fish and supplies to thousands of satisfied customers, without any
complaints!!!

Pseudomugil Rainbow

Pseudomugil furcatus |

Pseudomugil
signifer |
Origin:
Australia and New Guinea.
Temperament: Peaceful, good community fish
Feeding:
Feed with flake
foods and brine shrimp. Extremely easy to
keep.
Sexing:
Pseudomugil Rainbowfish are schooling fish, with the males being
larger than the females and having a longer first dorsal fin.
Comments: Rainbowfish are known for their
characteristic large eyes, black or silver band that runs through the middle
scale rows, deeply forked mouth, and two dorsal fins.
This moderately aggressive
fish is best housed in a planted aquarium with plenty of space to swim.
Pseudomugil Rainbows should have a gravel substrate; the colors of this fish may
intensify if a darker colored gravel is used.
Pseudomugil sp. spawns
on fine-leaved plants or over moss. The fry will hatch two to three weeks after
spawning and should be fed fresh live foods such as brine shrimp. Morning
sunlight directed into the aquarium may trigger spawning.
Although Pseudomugil Rainbows
have large mouths, their throats tend to be narrow. Pseudomugil Rainbowfish are
omnivores but prefer fresh live foods.
