Native Habitat:  Africa: Ghana to Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. Occurs in calm and weedy parts of rivers, lakes, swamps and brooks. 10 cm max TL (Ref. 3788). Feeds on worms, crustaceans, insects and fish.
Temperament:    Peaceful.
Feeding:    Some flake foods high in protein and adult brine shrimp, along with live foods such as grindal worms, white worms, Daphnia, Moina, and newly hatch brine shrimp nauplii
Sexing:    Males more colorful and with display fins
Comments:    Difficult and not recommended for beginners.
