Native Habitat:  Central Africa: Nigeria, Cameroon and Central African Republic. Occurs in brooks and swamps in the open and humid grassland savanna on the highlands
Temperament:    Males are a little aggressive, certainly when breeding with females. Therefore best kept in trios, rather than pairs.
Feeding:    Some flake foods high in protein and adult brine shrimp, along with live foods such as grindal worms, white worms, Daphnia, Moina, and newly hatch brine shrimp nauplii
Sexing:    Males more colorful and with display fins
Comments:    Difficult for beginners. Non-annual plant spawner
